The Remarkables Ski Field Schedule Another Great Weekend of Events

School holidays are over but the fun keeps on coming. The Remarkables have a few events scheduled for this coming weekend that are well worth watching or even participating in if you are down with us. Things kick off on this coming Thursday, so head over to our accommodation pages to find the best winter apartments in Queenstown!

Thursday - August 5th, 6am - 8.30am $20

Skin to the Summit

introduced in 2018 by the Race Department over at Coronet Peak, and supported 100% by the amazing team at Small Planet, the event went from strength to strength with 6 races delivered across the two mountains and a great group of participants which grew over the course of the season.

Bringing it back in 2021, Small Planet is again the major sponsor. Originally designed to encourage touring participation and give the community a series of events which granted wider access to the slopes than what is possible during the skifield hours, the event saw many first time participants toexpereinced seasoned athletes.

This weekend, the Remarkables will be hosting the 2nd event. Cost is 20NZD and is paid by car (cash not accepted).

Friday - August 6th, 8:30am - 4pm

Adaptive Winter Festival

The Remarkables have always excelled in supporting apative snowsports for people with disabilities. Today is a celebration of the many athletes that have competed in their chosen winter sports, as well as an opportunity for non-competative athletes from cross NZ to come and learn with expert teams and instructors from The Remarkables Snowsports school.

This is a great day with lots of opportunities to play and compete. If you are considering coming down, and haven't yet booked, drop us a line to discuss what facilities we have to support disability needs.

Saturday - August 7th, 9am - 4pm

Torpedo 7 Slopestyle

The Remarkables have an incredibly envious international standard park for completion and play. Today, the regions best slopestyle athletes will compete for the podium on rails and jumps. It's a great event to come and watch and be wow'd.
