The Central Otago region has become very well known for their wines. Take the time to explore the wineries close to town while on your Queenstown vacation. Many of the wineries offer wine tastings along with lunch and afternoon snack menus. Enjoy!
Chard Farm was established in 1987 as one of the first wineries in town. Brothers, Rob and Greg Hay came to the area with the intention of setting up a commercialized vineyard and chose their location based on the evaluation of the grapes growing in the area of Central Otago. The Cellar door is open for tastings 7 days a week and is a quick 20 km from Queenstown.
